Second floor overlooking the Piazza Ducale through three enchanting round windows (the so called at the time “oculi”).
Size 90 sq. m.
Dedicated to the one who some scholars consider the greatest architect of the Renaissance, to whose genius and mastery we owe the castle tower overlooking the Piazza Ducale with its slender and elegant forms, the Falconiera, a building intended for the breeding of hunting hawks, and the Loggia delle Dame, the part of the castle intended as the residence of Moro’s wife Beatrice d’Este and her ladies.
Large and spectacular attic apartment. Fine finishes, oak parquet, lacquered doors, wonderful and huge exposed beams.
Double exposure. The windows overlook the Piazza Ducale and the romantic roofs of our internal courtyard, providing light at different times of the day.
The colors of the apartment in shades of green, pink and plum integrate with the large exposed beams, creating a pleasant atmosphere that restores serenity and peace to the guest.
The warm tones of the walls and ceiling are enhanced by contrast by the majestic bookcase in chromed metal and glass that dominates and illuminates the large living room.
Some antiques and designs belonging to our family complete the elegant eclectic furnishings. You can admire in the living room a wonderful “biscuit” table from the last quarter of the 19th century and a rare pair of Multipla model wall lamps, iconic example of design and modernity, designed in 1969 by the architects De Pas-D’Urbino-Lomazzi for Stilnovo; round in shape, in white painted aluminum and chromed tubular structure (see Light – Lamps 1968-1973: new Italian design by Fulvio & Napoleone Ferrari).
Relax and let yourself be embraced by the atmosphere of the rooms, feel the energy that the house transmits to you, observe the perfect geometries of Piazza Ducale with the three “oculi” circle windows that overlook it.
Why be satisfied? Treat yourself to a stay in the center of a 530-year-old history.
