The drawings that adorn the living room wall are the work of the deaf-mute painter Lorenzo Toma (1798 – 1867) and date back to the time (1818-1823) in which he studied at the Caesarea Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Milan, now the Brera Academy. Exponent of Milanese Neoclassicism, he was a friend of the poet Vincenzo Monti (1754 – 1828) who dedicated a sonnet to him.
